Commercial Vehicle Equipment Sales

Salary Range: $24-$50/HR+Based on Experience

Job Summary: The Commercial Vehicle Equipment Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales of commercial vehicle equipment and accessories. This role involves extensive knowledge of truck features, industry standards, and customer needs to provide tailored solutions that enhance client operations. The specialist will engage with clients through the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to finalizing sales and follow-up.
Responsibilities & Duties:
• Client Engagement: Identify potential clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals. Build and maintain relationships with a focus on long-term customer loyalty.
• Sales Presentations: Conduct detailed presentations and demonstrations of truck equipment and accessories, highlighting features that meet specific client needs.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and potential impacts on company products. Adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Material Management: Assist in maintaining an inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for installations. Help organize and track materials to ensure smooth workflow during upfitting projects.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of all products and services offered, including updates and new releases. Educate customers on the benefits and usage of various truck equipment.
• Sales Goals: Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Develop strategies to increase market share and client base.
• Negotiation and Closure: Lead negotiations, address customer concerns, and finalize sales, ensuring both customer satisfaction and profitability.
• After-Sales Support: Provide ongoing support and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and foster future business opportunities.
• Documentation: Manage sales records and customer information for ongoing tracking and customer management.
Essential Functions:
• Sales Expertise: Utilize deep product knowledge and sales skills to effectively promote and sell commercial truck equipment.
• Relationship Management: Develop and sustain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and offering solutions that add value.
• Strategic Planning: Adapt sales strategies based on market conditions and individual client needs.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service, ensuring all customer interactions are handled with professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.
• Time Management: Complete assigned tasks efficiently, meeting project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage various technologies and digital tools to enhance the efficiency and precision of installation processes. Stay proficient with emerging technologies and software relevant to role.
Qualification and Skills:
• Experience: Minimum of (5) years of experience in sales, ideally in commercial truck equipment or a related field.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close sales and build customer relations.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of commercial truck parts, equipment, and the transportation industry.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve client issues effectively and efficiently.
• Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks.
• Communication Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, as well as communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Driver's License: Valid driver’s license required, with a clean driving record.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Maybe required to lead a team or mentor junior sales staff depending on departmental structure.
Work Environment:
• Physical Setting: Office environment with regular visits to client sites and occasional visits to trade shows
• Travel Requirements: Frequent local travel to client sites and occasional interstate travel for trade shows and conferences.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work:
• Employment Type: This is a full-time position.
• Work Schedule: The normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Overtime: Overtime opportunities are available as the work schedule demands and will be compensated accordingly.
Travel:
• Local Travel: Regular visits to client sites within the region.
• Occasional Travel: Attendance at trade shows, conferences, and training events as required
